Manager Paul Simpson explained after the game on Saturday that this week is about getting back on the horse quickly, with the sparking of another run of positive results the top priority.
“They’ll get an extra rest day this week because we’ve been through a busy week,” he said. “It’s back to work again, that’s the main thing, because we have to go again for Wimbledon.
“It’s a long journey down there, but it’s a game we’re looking forward to. I’ve never been to this ground so it’s another one of the 92 that I can tick off.
“It’s a game we’ve got to be up for, it’ll be a tough one, but we’ll be ready for it and hopefully we’ll put on a performance that gets us a result.”
“Wimbledon will be a different game to what we've had today, and it's just about trying to select the right side,” he continued. “I want to make sure we have a good week of training this week and we're ready to go next Saturday.
“There’s no game on Tuesday and you know the way I think, this is what the fixture list is. If there was a game, it would have been good. There isn't a game, so it's also good.
“We just have to get our preparation right going into the Wimbledon game and make sure that we get the right training into them so that they keep freshened up, particularly the boys who haven't been playing.
“In terms of the distances that they're covering, they're a little bit behind. They'll get some extra work to do this week.
“We'll get the boys who are regular starters freshened up so that everybody's at the same sort of level. Hopefully we go out at Wimbledon next weekend with loads of energy, with a brightness, with a belief that does enough to go and earn us three points.”
