Remembering our loved ones who are no longer with us:
Tony Bingley
Tony was a huge supporter of the club and worked part-time, full-time and in a voluntary capacity in a number of roles for close to 40 years for the Blues.
A proud Yorkshireman he became an adopted Cumbrian on his move to Carlisle, and an invaluable member of the backroom team at Brunton Park, first forging sponsorship and partnership links with businesses across the county before joining the 1921 board as commercial director.
Missed by all of his family and friends xx
+++++++
Lisa Holmes 1972 - 2023
Lisa was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and daughter-in-law. A good friend to many.
For Lisa, Carlisle United meant days in the Warwick Road End as a teenager, later standing in the Paddock with her husband, then sitting in the Pioneer Stand with her young children, and later watching proudly when her sons were mascots as their dad was back in the day.
She went to the old Wembley, the Millennium Stadium, and the new Wembley, along with many less glamourous venues following our team.
On her wedding day, she wore a dress designed around the deckchair shirt. Carlisle United was a big part of her life.
We will miss her so much, and remember her on matchdays as every day.
+++++++
Logan Holgate
Tragically died on the 11th of January 2023, aged just 18.
Logan played rugby for Hensingham RL and football for Cleator Moor Celtic. He loved his sport and will be missed by many.
+++++++
John Cameron
John was an avid supporter of Carlisle United from his early teens – being fortunate to begin his life-long support of the club in the First Division season, shouting the team on from the Boys Pen, in the Warwick Road End, before moving to the Paddock and then the East Stand when it opened in 1996. He was a long-standing season ticket holder over many years, despite moving to Lancashire in the late 70’s, living in Lytham St Annes and spending his working life at BAE Systems in Warton, near Blackpool.
John sadly passed away on 16 August, 2022, aged 60, at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital. He was a much-loved brother, brother-in-law, Uncle, Great Uncle, and a great friend and colleague to many.
He is missed, loved, and remembered every day by all those closest to him.
++++++++
Jim Mitchell
Jim was a true blue through and through. He attended his first game as a small child with his Dad and kept up his support throughout his life.
In later life he was involved with Carlisle United Official Supporters Club and served as their representative on the CUFC Operations Board. He was also Chairman of the Community Sports Trust based at Carlisle United.
Jim sadly passed away on 19 December following a battle with Motor Neurones Disease. He is greatly missed by his wife Marion, his son Ian and his ‘grandson’ Mitchell together with the rest of his family and many friends. We love you Jim and will never forget you.
