Carlisle United Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Cudworth as the club's new first team goalkeeper coach on a deal until the end of the season.
Cudworth, 34, started his youth career with Preston North End and was released as a player at the age of 18, he then continued working in the academy as a goalkeeper coach alongside a non-league playing career.
During his time playing for the likes of Chorley, Nantwich Town and Macclesfield, he focused on his coaching badges, and continued to be involved in the youth and academy goalkeeping coaching set-up at Preston before making the step-up to first-team level where he worked with the likes of Jordan Pickford and Sam Johnstone.
In 2022 he made the move to Wigan Athletic, again as academy goalkeeping coach before making the step up to first-team level.
Cudworth is currently the goalkeeper coach at international team Chinese Taipei, and he will join back up with them at the end of the season.
Sporting director Rob Clarkson said: "We are delighted to welcome Jack to Carlisle United. He has good experience having worked at EFL clubs such as Wigan and Preston.
"He is excited to work with the goalkeepers we have and he starts today. He joins us on a short term contract until the end of the season."
We'll be sitting down with Jack later today, sign up to CUTV to watch his first interview HERE.
