Ahead of this weekend's trip to Doncaster Rovers, we spoke to Mark Hughes.
Speaking to CUTV, starting with recapping Tuesday's game, he said: "I think we've obviously done the review of the game and highlighted the positives. Obviously, some elements of our play wasn't quite where it needed to be, but overall, I think we're all really happy with our current form.
"I think we're playing some good stuff. We're asking questions of opposition teams and I'm looking forward to every game we play now. I think we've got two big tests coming up in the immediate games ahead of us, but we should go with good confidence because we're playing well at the moment.
"Sometimes we can make decisions individually and collectively that just allow the opposition opportunities and it's just about getting your decisions right. I think at times we were a bit too keen to press, but sometimes the right decision was to just drop off and allow them to play in front of us.
"They weren't particularly hurting us when we did that. Certainly, once we got established after the first goal, I thought we were much better for it."
Previewing Saturday's fixture, Mark said: "They're a good team. They do a lot of things in the game better than anybody else in the league.
"Statistically, they're one of the better teams. They seem to get a lot of shots off. They've got good talent at the top end of the pitch. So, yeah, it'll be a big test. I was looking before, they've got a lot of players with goals and assists and threats all over the pitch.
"We're mindful of that, but from our point of view, we've just got to show what we can do and affect them when we get the ball. They're a good side. Like I said, they've got good players. Good wide men. A striker, that will affect you if you allow him to. So, yeah, we've just got to be very attentive to their threats. But we've got threats ourselves as well.
"It's about making the most of the opportunities which we're sure we'll get because we're playing well."
Providing an injury update, Hughes stated: "We've got a few bumps and bruises. We're waiting on a couple, but for the most part, we're okay."
On Dylan McGeouch, Paul Dummett and Charlie Wyke, when asked if there's a chance they'll return this season, he said: "We're always hopeful. Some will get closer than others, but maybe we're at the point where we don't expect them to come back.
"If they do, it's great for them and great for us. That's my thinking on it. They're in and around the group, so that's important.
"We'll just see how it develops. Hopefully, they'll get back."
On the run-in, Mark said: "We're just looking at probably this game and the one that follows and do that as we go on.
"I think it's just about playing well and getting the maximum out of the games that we have ahead. That's easier to do if you just focus on one game at a time, I think."
Finally, on the Blues' faithful, Hughes stated: "They were great once again on Tuesday. It's really important for us. I sense they see a difference in our play in terms of us wanting to get on the front-foot and affect teams.
"We had two decent performances, a win and a draw. After the setback of the two games, we unfortunately lost. I think we've bounced back from that. We'll look to add to the points as we go."
