Carlisle United Ladies are looking to extend their perfect start to 2025 on Sunday when they face Colne Ladies at Creighton.
United come into Sunday’s game off the back of a 2-1 win away at Clitheroe Ladies.
Carlisle picked up the three points in dramatic fashion with Jade Beal’s stunning late strike sending the Cumbrians home jubilant.
That result moved United up to 8th in the table joint with GT7 Ladies in 7th on 12 points.
Colne Ladies currently sit 5th in the league standings having picked up 19 points from their 13 games.
When United faced Colne earlier in the season, it was a close encounter with Carlisle coming out 2-1 winners, thanks to goals from Bessie Best and Sarah Nixon.
Nixon’s goal being the pick of all of United’s goals this season, as her audacious chip from over 25-yards out put Carlisle 2-0 up on the afternoon in Lancashire.
The Cumbrians have picked up a few knocks from the Clitheroe game but will still be hopeful of coming away with all three points on Sunday.
