Carlisle United Ladies face Blackpool Girls & Ladies at Creighton this Sunday.
United come into Sunday’s game with a point to prove, after last Sunday’s heavy defeat to Accrington Stanley.
The Cumbrians know that if they perform to their capabilities, then all three points are attainable this weekend.
Last time Carlisle played the Tangerines, they gained a point on the road in Lancashire in a 1-1 draw.
It was a performance which merited all three points, but United lacked a cutting edge in front of goal.
The Blues will be looking to set that right on Sunday and make sure they put the game beyond any doubt.
Blackpool Girls & Ladies currently sit 11th in the table, having picked up four points this season.
Their points have come in a 4-2 win against Colne Ladies and the 1-1 draw with United.
The Tangerines haven’t played a game since 3 November, when they faced Stanwix Ladies.
Sunday’s match will be the final game before the Christmas break, with Carlisle returning to action on 5 January when they face league leaders, Bolton Wanderers Girls at the Eddie Davies Academy.
