IT’S NEW – IT’S LIVE – DON’T MISS OUT!

FZ NEW

Ahead of the 2024/25 Sky Bet League Two campaign, we are announcing a new first for the club.

Supporters will be able to watch our opening day away clash with Gillingham on 10 August, 3pm kick-off, live at Brunton Park.

With the first weekend of matches available to view on Sky Sports, we are thrilled to say that we’ll be showing the encounter on the big screen in the Fan Zone, which will open from 12:30pm.

The game will not be available to stream in the UK on CUTV and will be exclusively on Sky Sports. Overseas subscribers will still be able to watch on our brand new streaming service, CUTV.

By showing the game in the Fan Zone, it will give fans who can’t make it to Kent on 10 August their first-ever chance to watch United live back at Brunton Park altogether, whilst the Blues are playing on the road. The capacity is capped at 2,500 - we are expecting a sell-out!

To guarantee a place, we advise fans to purchase in advance for just £5 - general admission.

Learning from the hugely successful Euro 2024 Fan Zone, we will again be offering VIP packages, this time priced at £110 - which includes admission, a six-seater table, a prime seating location, personal table service, a kilogram of chicken wings and six beers. There will be 12 VIP packages available to purchase.

In addition, you are also now able to ‘reserve a table’ for six at £60 - which includes admission. There will be 12 of these tables available to purchase.

It’s going to be the place to be on 10 August for fans who can’t make the trip to Priestfield, and we want to see as many of you there as possible - be quick so you don’t miss out!

We will be open from 12:30pm with all the usual Fan Zone attractions and food vendors available.

Chief Executive, Nigel Clibbens said “When we saw how the Sky TV deal was developing, we saw an opportunity for fans to watch away games at Brunton Park in a way they were unable to before.

“This was before the takeover - I didn’t envisage we would be in a position to have a new big screen and a much-improved Fan Zone, allowing us to make the most of this tremendous opportunity.

“We wanted to test the concept during the Euros to see if the potential was really there. After the second England game, it was clear we had to go for it, starting with the first game of the season if it was away.

“Our away support is always brilliant given our geographical location. It's extraordinary to see the number of fans that travel every week.

“Due to the cost of travel and difficulty of public transport, many fans want to back the Blues, but can’t physically get to away games. This will give them the opportunity to support and be part of something special altogether.

"With the fantastic success of the Euro 2024 Fan Zone, the first game of the season could be absolutely amazing to be a part of watching back at Brunton Park.”
