The Cumbrians are at home on Sunday as they welcome Preston North End to Creighton.
After a defeat to the leaders, Mancunian Unity, who were confirmed as champions as a result of that game last weekend, the Blues are hoping a victory will come their way this weekend.
Preston North End are currently fourth in the table and came out on top last weekend against Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves with a 6-2 victory on the road. The goals came from Ellie Fleming, Alicia Scott and Madison Hadley who grabbed four.
This weekend’s visitors form has been a mixed bag as they have picked up two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six league games. Their victories coming against Bolton Wanderers (2-0) and last weekends match with Fleetwood Town (6-2) both away from home. The three defeats came against Haslingden (2-3) and twice against champions Mancunian Unity (2-3 away and 0-2 at home), with a goalless draw coming against Accrington Stanley in the middle of these six games.
Last Time We Met
It was the opening match of the season when we last came up against this weekend’s opponents back in August away at UCLAN Sports Arena, with the hosts that day running out with a 5-0 victory thanks to goals from Courtney Woodhead, Samantha Ball and a hat-trick for Madison Hadley.
