Congratulations to club secretary Sarah McKnight who will mark 30 years of service at Brunton Park on Wednesday.
Sarah was presented with a signed shirt on the pitch at half time on Saturday from Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens.
Sarah joined Carlisle United on 31 January 1994 as an 18-year-old receptionist and has experienced five promotions, six EFL Trophy final appearances, two floods and 29 managers (including caretakers)!
She was promoted to club secretary in the summer of 2000 and has been a vital part of the administration staff ever since.
Chairman Tom Piatak said: “Congratulations to Sarah for 30 years of dedication and unwavering commitment to Carlisle United Football Club.
“Sarah's loyalty and passion have been a critical factor behind our club’s success. Here's to many more years of shared victories and achievements together!”
Manager Paul Simpson said: “Sarah is absolutely top class in her work. There isn't an EFL rule that she doesn't know and if she does get stuck, she knows exactly where to find the answer.
“I have to be honest, without Sarah doing what she does - and the list is endless - my job would be a lot harder.
“30 years in any role is a great achievement but to spend 30 years at one football club shows her dedication to Carlisle United. Thanks and well done.”
Chairman Emeritus Andrew Jenkins said: “Sarah is the perfect example of a club secretary - hard working, loyal and someone who loves her work in football.
“I hold Sarah in the highest esteem and say she has never made an error in the important position she holds as club secretary.
“I am sure you will be aware of the conditions and regulations you have to comply with when signing and registering a player with a club. Sarah has been first class and as I say has never made a mistake which is not easy looking at the number of hoops put before clubs nowadays.
“I thank her for the service she has given to the club and send my best wishes going forward with her position at Carlisle United.”
