The PFA Vertu Motors Fans' Player of the Month award nominations for January have been announced, with six players from EFL League Two and each of the other top four professional leagues shortlisted for their performances in January.

Our very own Kristian Dennis has been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award after scoring five goals and notching two assists in the month to lead the division with 21 goal contributions in 27 matches.
Similarly, Conor McAleny played his part in Salford City’s improved form in January, helping himself to six goals in six games as the Ammies ended the month in play-off places.
Gillingham signing Tom Nichols didn't take long to settle into life at his new club as he claimed three goals and two assists, while Josh Umerah goals continued to help keep fellow relegation contenders Hartlepool United in the division, with three more arriving in the month.
Stevenage captain Carl Piergianni, who starred in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Aston Villa as well as claiming two goals and a clean sheet in the league, and Colchester United's Junior Tchamadeu, who impressed with two goals and two clean sheets from right back as the U's won four games in a row, round out the shortlist.
