Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that second-year professional Max Kilsby has returned to the scene of last term’s success as he joins Peter Murphy’s promoted Annan Athletic side on a half-season loan deal today.
Kilsby, 20 in October, signed his first senior deal in May 2022 on the successful completion of his two-year scholarship programme.
He initially moved to Galabank at the start of last season on a half-season deal, but patience and determination saw him work his way into the starting eleven and his stay was extended to the end of the campaign, which included the exciting play-off victory, during the winter window.
Manager Paul Simpson said: “Murph was keen to have him back after the success they enjoyed last year.
“We’re delighted with how he’s developing and more than happy for him to go back up there to continue that good work.
“We’ll monitor his progress and review it in January.”
