Fin Back and Luke Plange were the special guests at Keenan Park last Thursday for the Harraby Catholic U11s training session ahead of the team's visit to Brunton Park for the Exeter game as part of the Cumberland Community Ticket Scheme.
Fin said: "It was straight into a very competitive fixture with the lads and we really enjoyed it. It was good to see them all, knowing that they were coming to the game on Saturday, and I thought there was some excellent football on show.
“Our keeper had a great game and we scored from one of the best free kicks we’ll see this season. That was a very enjoyable appearance and I’d like to thank everyone for treating us so well.”
Luke said: "It’s good to see the amount of effort that goes into organising things for these young players. So many people put so much time and effort into it on their behalf.
“The standard was really high, with some of the club’s U16 players acting as coaches, and I think the draw was the fair result.
“I’d also like to thank Charmaine and her players for giving us some of their time.”
The Cumberland’s Community Ticket Scheme means thousands of youngsters will be able to watch The Blues for free once again this season.
The scheme provides local primary schools and community groups with up to 300 free tickets for home matches.
