Carlisle United are delighted to welcome world-renowned industry specialists Mitchell Dryers as a new club partner, with their distinctive logo taking pride of place across the fascia board of the home dugout.
Mitchell Dryers has been designing and manufacturing drying solutions for nearly a century - from olive oil processors in Spain to copper mining operators in Chile and waste-to-energy recyclers in the UK – and their heritage dates back to 1768 when the Blaylock family of clockmakers established a business just north of Carlisle, the city where Mitchell Dryers is still based today.
The business expanded into related areas of engineering and in 1859 formed a partnership with William Pratchitt of Bolton. Today, still inspired by a proud engineering history, Mitchell Dryers can be found in their new home at Kingmoor Park, here in Carlisle.
Commercial manager Debbie Huddart said: “From the first meeting we had with Mitchell Dryers we could tell that they were really keen to get involved with the football club, not only to develop a relationship and raise profile, but also to give something back to the community within which they are based.
“It’s always fantastic to see two leading brands come together, and that’s the same in this situation. The sponsorship of the home dugout is extremely visible in terms of TV and newspaper coverage, and it’ll be exciting for us all to see the logo whenever the manager and technical area becomes the focus of the game.
“We welcome them on board and look forward to working with them even more in the months and years ahead.”
Graham Hartley, CEO of Mitchell Dryers said: “We are delighted to be able to support the club during what promises to be a time of progress and achievement for both organisations.
“We are especially pleased to be sponsoring goalkeeper Gabriel Breeze who has great potential and a positive future in the game.”
