United boss Paul Simpson confirmed this morning that there’ll be a change to the backroom staff with head physio Ross Goodwin set to move to a club north of the border.
Goodwin joined the Blues in July 2020 having held similar roles with Annan, Queen of the South and Kilmarnock. He was with the SPL side from the summer of 2017, where he worked primarily under Steve Clarke.
“It’s been brilliant working with Ross, he’s excellent at his job, and I’m gutted that he’s moving on,” the gaffer said. “We did what we could to keep him but the offer he’s received from north of the border is too good for him to turn down.
“As much as I tried to keep him, he has to do what he feels is right for him and his family, and I wish him well with what he’s going on to do next.
“Ross will now serve his notice period and an advert will go out to find a replacement as soon as possible for what is obviously a very important position.”
