SOCCER SCHOOL: Another great week in Penrith

After a week of brilliant football and fantastic weather the 75 kids at Penrith Soccer School got a brilliant surprise at the end of week ceremony when first-team striker Tobi Sho-Silva arrived to present medals and certificates.

There were penalty competition winners, best attitude winners and one lucky participant won a football which was signed by every member of the squad.

CST assistant manager James Tose said: “When a player turns up to visit the kids it makes a massive difference to the soccer school.

“It’s a great way for the first-team players to connect with young fans and inspire them to be the best they can be, and achieve their goals.

“Tobi was absolutely brilliant with the kids when giving out the awards. He had time for everyone and the queue for his signature was out the door.”

“I really enjoyed going along to the soccer school,” Tobi told us. “I could tell that everybody had enjoyed the week and it was good to be able to hand out their medals and certificates.

“The work the Community Sports Trust does is fantastic, and so many children have had such a positive experience at the schools and camps all the way through August.

“Well done to everyone for making it another successful week.”
