LONDON BRANCH: London-based fans meeting at Doggett's Coat and Badge

Following a season spent online, the London Branch will soon be back in person.

Blues fans will meet on the evening of 10 June at the iconic Doggett’s Coat and Badge pub overlooking the Thames at Blackfriars Bridge, to reflect on the highs and lows of 20/21 and look forward to next season.

A particular welcome is extended to Carlisle supporters who have recently moved to the area and want to meet up with other exiled Cumbrians to learn about the sporting and social activities of the London Branch.

Chairman David Brown said: "It's great to be meeting up with Carlisle fans again after such a challenging year.

“I know that our London based members will give a warm welcome to everybody that would like to join us at the Doggett’s."

As part of a new recruitment campaign the branch have recently contacted the head teachers of all the senior schools in the northern half of Cumbria, asking them to display a CUSCLB poster (designed by our own Jim Gaffney) on noticeboards and on the school’s own social media.

Targeted at Blues fans leaving Cumbria, the campaign aims to keep fans connected with other exiles, bringing supporters together both on match days and at other social events. First year membership costs only £5.

The London Branch anticipates new members in the 21/22 season, with supporters looking for advice on the inevitable COVID-safe arrangements that will be in place in and around grounds and potential restrictions on attendance.

Preparations for the upcoming season have also included a major revamp of the website that now provides a good user experience on mobile devices.

Due to the current COVID restrictions, you’ll need to book for the Doggett’s on 10 June. Please email chairman@cusclb.com to ensure your place.
