United made club history on 23 April 1995 when they walked out onto the Wembley turf for the first time ever to face Birmingham City in the Football League Trophy final (AWS).
The Blues of Carlisle were flying high at the top of Division Three, with Birmingham doing the same a division above, and both sides had chances in a game that subsequently became famous for the manner in which was settled - an extra-time golden goal from the head of Paul Tait.
