The #8kforMK ticket donation scheme, which gave local businesses and individuals the opportunity to purchase match tickets to donate to schools and groups of their choice, has proved to be one of the more popular aspects of an engaging and imaginative campaign which set out to bring over 8,000 fans into Brunton Park for this weekend’s MK Dons home fixture.
Classique Kitchens and Prestige Fitting, based on Port Road here in Carlisle, are the latest local firm to jump on board with a purchase of 50 tickets for some of our younger fans.
Kelly Douglass from Classique Kitchens said: “We wanted to help the club with engaging fans of the future so we decided to split the tickets we purchased between Inglewood Primary School, Warwick Bridge Primary School and Pennine Way Primary School.
“As you can see, the children were extremely happy to have been chosen and, having heard that the 8,000 target has been achieved, we’re just delighted to have been part of it.”
Thank you to everyone at Classique Kitchens and Prestige Fitting - and we’re looking forward to welcoming the children from these local schools to Brunton Park on the day.
