United return to league action this weekend with a game against Cambridge United at the Abbey Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, manager John Sheridan said: “Every game in this league is tough and Cambridge will be no different.
“I only worry about us and how we’re going to play. I went into the game against Mansfield last Saturday feeling confident, but we didn’t really turn up, so I’ll have to get a little bit more out of them on Saturday. If we’re on our game we’ll give anyone a good test.”
“I think the lads will be going into it feeling positive,” he added. “If you’d asked me before these two away games, Mansfield and Cambridge, I would have been happy if we’d won one of them, and we’ve still got a good chance to do that.
“Anyone can beat anyone in this league, so we’ll go down there expecting a tough game, but we’ll only be concentrating on how we’re going to play. Hopefully we can take what we did on Tuesday night into the Cambridge game.”
“It’s an away game but I’d like us to be strong, with a bit of discipline about us, but I also want us to believe,” he concluded. “I don’t want us to sit back, because I don’t think we’re a team who can sit back and still get a result.
“We need to try and take the game to the opposition. We didn’t do that against Mansfield and that’s what disappointed me.”
