Carlisle United Football Club is looking to expand its volunteer ‘Meeters and Greeters’ team for next season as we seek to improve and enhance the match day experience for both home and away supporters here at Brunton Park.
Highly visible, wearing club branded clothing and reporting directly to our Supporter Liaison Officer, the Meeters and Greeters will be on hand to offer guidance, answer queries and to become a first point of contact for any issues which arise around the ground.
United’s SLO Nigel Dickinson said: “The Meeters and Greeters will have a very important role to play with what we hope will be seen as a positive move.
“They’ll help with everything from getting fans to the correct areas, ticket offices and parking spaces to passing on the details of any issues which come up directly to me, so that I can make sure things are dealt with in a swift and timely manner.
“We’ve had this scheme in place for two seasons now but we’re looking to add to the numbers so that we can cover every eventuality and as many areas of the stadium as possible.
“It’s a great way for people to get involved and the added bonus is that they’ll be helping everybody to enjoy the day and the game just by being visible, accessible and by passing on their knowledge of the ground and how things work.”
Full training and Health and Safety induction will be given, and all volunteers for these posts will receive a match ticket for entry to the game, for use by themselves or a family member or friend.
