Midfielder Jordan Holt has today returned to Workington AFC on a further month-long loan deal which will complete his three-month stay in West Cumbria.
Holt, 18, initially joined the Borough Park outfit at the end of August and has received nothing but praise for his committed performances.
Manager Keith Curle said: “The good thing for Jordan about this move is that it means he’s maintaining the game time he requires.
“There’s no point being on a development programme if you aren’t getting individually tailored training sessions, and the pitch time which needs to go with it. It doesn’t matter who you are, you learn more by being involved in a competitive game than you ever will from just doing your training sessions through the week.
“Developing physically is one of the attributes you need, but being out there for 90 minutes allows you to put into the place the things you’ve practiced and talked about.
“Workington are looking after him really well and we’re hearing good things, so we’re very happy for it to continue.”
The young playmaker came through the United ranks to earn a one-year professional development contract in May this year having made his first team debut in the Checkatrade Trophy group game against Fleetwood Town last season.
