Fans buy match tickets from first team squad and staff
Players and staff from United's first team squad had a ticket office takeover on Friday afternoon as they popped along to help with Exeter City ticket sales - with plenty of selfies and autographs thrown in for good measure.Michael Raynes, Jamie Devitt, Macaulay Gillesphey and Mark Gillespie took turns at the ticket windows with Colin West and Lee Dykes manning the phones as demand for Sunday's big game remains high.
Shaun Miller, Jamie Proctor, Reggie Lambe, Luke Joyce and John O'Sullivan stayed on the other side of the windows with the manager to meet and greet the fans and to talk football with supporters young and old.
One lucky young fan had an extra special surprise when Raynesy stopped his transaction half way through and paid for the ticket on his behalf. However, there was a sting in the tail when the young Blue was asked who his favourite player was. Raynesy, having just handed over the match ticket, was left with his mouth wide open when the answer came back as 'Jamie Proctor.'
Manager Keith Curle said: "This was a good way for us to say thank you to the fans who came along today and for the players to get a look at how much work gets done behind the scenes on their behalf.
"It was excellent to see so many smiling faces and the excitement is definitely building. When we closed the ticket office down we were at around 8,400 so we are looking forward to seeing over 10,000 home fans in the stadium for the game. They'll be roaring us on and we'll be looking to give them a performance worthy of their support."
