Former Barnet striker signs for United
Carlisle United have today signed striker Ben Tomlinson on non-contract terms following a week of training with the Blues.Tomlinson, 27, came through the youth set up at Worksop Town before spending a season at both Macclesfield Town and Alfreton Town.
After leaving Alfreton, he joined fellow National League side Lincoln City where he went on to make over 80 appearances, scoring 32 goals.
He then joined Barnet in 2015, and during his time at The Hive he had loan spells with Grimsby, Tranmere and Barrow before leaving the club by mutual consent in January 2017.
Manager Keith Curle said: "Ben has been with us this week and he's impressed us all with the hunger he's shown to be involved.
"He has good habits and dynamics and he likes scoring goals and causing opposition defences as many problems as possible.
"He's integrated quickly and well and he's shown us he has a good physical presence. This is an opportunity for him to add something to our group and to show people that he's ready to kick on again."
Tomlinson will wear shirt number 13.
