NCS: Learning new skills in an enjoyable environment

NCS Autumn cohort ready to start their journey

The Autumn NCS programme is now in full swing and 20 students from Caldew School and Carlisle College have started their team building activities.

This helps them to gain confidence and start to learn new skills – all within an enjoyable environment.

NCS coordinator John Sander said: “We held some initial team building exercises at Brunton Park during the last week of September and the group went bowling in Carlisle a fortnight.

“They start to build things up now as they head off on a residential week at Lockerbie Manor and look at putting together a social action project. They’re all looking forward to it and I’m sure they’ll learn a lot of about themselves over the coming weeks.”
