Brandon Comley rejoins United on loan
Carlisle United have today extended QPR midfielder Brandon Comley’s loan spell at the club until the end of the current season.
Islington-born Comley, 20, has notched up six appearances for the Blues since making the move to Brunton Park in January and made his first senior start in the FA Cup fourth round meeting with Everton.
He returned to the R’s at the end of February, having picked up an ankle injury in the first half of the Morecambe game, but has now returned to full fitness as he rejoins the United squad.
Manager Keith Curle said: “Brandon came back to us this week and he’s looking hungry and determined. He was enjoying his football with us and he was improving with every game, which is what we are all about.
“We’ve all seen what he can bring to the side and we’re looking forward to working with him again, now he’s back with us.”
Comley has been with QPR since he was nine-years old and made his debut for the first team in the 5-1 defeat at Leicester at the end of last season.
He played against United in the Capital One Cup fixture at Loftus Road earlier this season and has scored twice in his 11 appearances for the U21 side.
He initially teamed up with the Cumbrians on trial in January and impressed during a game against Barrow where he played a part in the build-up for Angelo Balanta’s equaliser in an entertaining 1-1 draw.
