Brandon Comley signs loan deal with United
Carlisle United have today signed QPR midfielder Brandon Comley on a one-month loan deal.
Islington-born Comley, 20, has been with the R’s since he was nine-years old and made his debut for the first team in the 5-1 defeat at Leicester at the end of last season.
He played against United in the Capital One Cup fixture at Loftus Road earlier this season and has scored twice in his 11 appearances for the U21 side in the current campaign.
He teamed up with the Cumbrians this month and impressed during a trial game against Barrow last week, where he played a part in the build-up for Angelo Balanta’s equaliser in an entertaining 1-1 draw.
Manager Keith Curle said: “We like what we’ve seen from Brandon and we think we can work with him.
“He's one we've known about for a while. He played well against Barrow and he showed us that he has pace and a good touch. He can play in a three or a five and he looks comfortable on the ball. He’s come from a club with a very good pedigree and they know we’ll look after him.
“He’s at a stage now where he’s ready to take the next step and we’re looking forward to seeing him meet this next challenge up here with us."
