Keith Curle on the Tuesday night game against Plymouth
Boss Keith Curle talked to us about the away game at Plymouth as United take their unbeaten start on the longest trip of the season.
“Tuesday is a mental test,” he said. “We’ve got to go to Plymouth and we’ve got to travel some miles, but there’s a game of football to be had.
“The club have helped in how we’re going to prepare the players because that has to be right if you want to get a performance. I’ve been given everything I’ve asked for to give ourselves a competitive opportunity to perform.
“I’ve got to say the backing I’ve had from inside the club has been superb. They’re all getting on board, even though it does create more work, and they really want to help.
“We’ll do everything professionally and in the right way for this trip and I can guarantee we’ll be committed.”
And on the fans who will make the long trip, he said: “It’s a massive thank you for their support. That’s a level of commitment we very much appreciate.
"We won’t let them down for lack of effort, I can also guarantee that.”
