Ehmer heads back to QPR
Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that central defender Max Ehmer has been recalled from his loan spell at Brunton Park by parent club QPR.
German-born Ehmer, 21, joined United at the beginning of November and made 14 appearances for the Blues in his three-month stay.
He made his debut in the 2-2 home draw against Wolves and was voted as man of the match in the 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra in November.
His last appearance for the Cumbrians was packed with incident as he netted at both ends in the 4-2 home defeat against Colchester United.
“We’re obviously disappointed because Max has been fantastic for us,” manager Graham Kavanagh said. “He’s shown us that he has real quality and he has been a big part of our squad since joining us in November.
“QPR have been really good with us and we completely understand this kind of situation. We wish him all the best as he heads back down there today.”
