Duo move on by mutual consent
Carlisle United Football Club can confirm that striker Alex Salmon and defender Brandon Gwinnutt have left the club by mutual consent.
Salmon and Gwinnutt came through the youth ranks to earn professional deals at the end of the last campaign and both players enjoyed loan spells away from Brunton Park through the first part of their first season with the senior side.
“Both lads have worked hard and they’ve gained some good experience with the loan spells they’ve had,” manager Graham Kavanagh said. “I think it goes without saying that we wish them every success as they move on from the club.”
