News & Star and CUFC join forces
Carlisle United Football Club and local paper News & Star have joined forces to offer United fans the chance of snapping up a replica home or away shirt - for just £5 - as we head into the crucial final run-in of the 2013/14 campaign.
All you need to do is take a copy of the News & Star or the Cumberland News into the Blues Store on Warwick Road, on the day the paper is bought, and you will be able to purchase your replica home or away shirt at the knock-down price.
Season ticket holders can take advantage of the £5 shirt offer by showing their season ticket card at the Blues Store checkout.
Managing director John Nixon said: “We saw at Tranmere on Saturday, as we have all season, just how important our fans can be when it comes to urging the team on and helping them through games. It would be fantastic, for the remaining seven games of the season, to see our fans show their support and get behind the team by wearing our colours both home and away.
“The first team manager talks repeatedly of the need to pull together and this would be a fantastic way for everyone to unite as we look to get the points we need to stay in this division. This offer, in conjunction with the News & Star, is a great way to help as many fans as possible to show their colours as we head into a very important month.”
Shop manager Jenny Anderson said: “Any supporter who comes into the Blues Store with that day’s News & Star, or the Cumberland News on a Friday, will be able to purchase a home or away shirt for just £5. We’re all hoping to see as many fans as possible in our colours for the remaining very important games.
“This is also the last season our shirts will show the Stobart logo, as Virgin Trains take pride of place next year, so it’s a good way of getting hold of a little piece of club history.”
This offer runs until the end of the current season and is subject to availability.
We now only have large and extra large home and away shirts left.
