The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy is hitting the road once again for this season’s Area Quarter-Finals - with a stop-off at Fleetwood Town.
Having already been on display at Bristol, Milton Keynes and Wolverhampton this season, it’s the turn of Fleetwood and Carlisle United supporters to have the chance to have their picture taken with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Wednesday.
The two clubs go head-to-head in a Northern Area Quarter-Final tie which will be televised live on Sky Sports.
Excitement will begin to build from 5pm when the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy will be on display in Jim’s Sports Bar at Fleetwood’s Highbury Stadium for 45 minutes. Fans are invited to have their picture taken with the trophy. Carlisle supporters and families are welcome in Jim’s.
At 5.45pm, the trophy will move to the Parkside Suite hospitality area until 6.20pm, with pictures again permitted.
“One of the key priorities of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy is to engage with as many supporters as possible,” said Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager of Johnstone’s Paint.
“Taking the trophy to areas of the country where big Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ties are taking place gives us the opportunity to do exactly that.
“With Wembley getting ever closer, it’s a big game for both Fleetwood and Carlisle and we are delighted to be providing fans of both clubs with this exciting opportunity.”
Fleetwood Town’s head of commercial, Martin Booker, said: “We are delighted the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy will be in attendance at our game.
“It’s an extra attraction ahead of what is an important game for both teams and we encourage as many people as possible to get to the ground to have their picture taken with the trophy.”
Johnstone’s is long established as the premium paint for the professional painter and decorator, with the nearest Johnstone’s Decorating Centre to Fleetwood based at Mowbray Drive in Blackpool, FY3 7UN.
