Latest on season ticket sales
Carlisle United Football Club have reported brisk sales throughout the three-week priority season ticket renewal period for 2013/14 with 1200 season tickets sold ahead of the new campaign.
Existing season ticket holders have until 5pm tonight to grab up to a four-game saving on next season’s regular match day prices and, with sales over 400 up on the only other time the club has held sales through the month of April during the 2008/09 campaign, a busy day is expected at Brunton Park.
“At the end of our first period of sales last year we had 62% of our existing season ticket holders who had renewed for the season ahead,” ticket office manager Christine Metcalfe explained.
“This is obviously only the second time we’ve had a full month of sales through April, but the signs are very encouraging at the moment with 63% having renewed. We move into our renewal period tomorrow, which runs until 11 May, and that offers a three-match saving for fans who purchase during that time.
“It’s going very well for us at the moment and we’re hopeful that we will have an overall increase in season ticket holder numbers if things continue to go this way.”
“The feedback on the overall pricing structure has been really positive," media officer Andy Hall said. “The fans we have spoken to have all asked us to make sure we have a much better season next time round, and we hope we will be able to achieve that for them.
“Nobody at the club is happy with how things went, particularly at home, and the work has already started to make sure we improve in all areas of performance. Hopefully the fans will continue to stick by us and we can push things on together.”
