Sportivate sessions are back

Cumberland FA in partnership with Carlisle United FITC and Active Cumbria, are pleased to announce a new and exciting Summer Sportivate football programme for disability groups and mental health organisations.

Turn up and play Football Sessions are being held across Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and Carlisle throughout June and July to engage new participants and promote our current disability football programmes.

Sportivate is a National Lottery funded programme providing opportunities for 14 – 25 year olds to access regular sport, in the hope they continue to play sport after the 8 week project.  64 football sessions will be held over 8 weeks for Day Services, Disability Organisations and Mental Health groups, to get involved, get active and be inspired by football.

Please note, our Sportivate programme is split into two projects; one for Day Services and one specifically for Mental Health groups; please see details of the sessions below:

All sessions will be led FA qualified Level 2 coaches and welcomes any player, no matter what level, with a disability, aged 14+. Please note anyone attending the sessions from a Day Service or Mental Health group, or who requires care/support, must be accompanied by a Carer, Parent or Support worker for the session.
