Ehmer back for a second month
Carlisle United have today extended the loan of QPR defender Max Ehmer for a second month which keeps him at Brunton Park until 2 January 2014.
German-born Ehmer, 21, initially joined United at the beginning of November and made six appearances for the Blues during his 28-day stay.
He made his debut in the 2-2 home draw against Wolves and was voted as man of the match in the 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra last Tuesday night.
The impressive centre half returned to Rangers after the Swindon game this weekend but talks between United manager Graham Kavanagh and the Loftus Road first team staff have confirmed this morning that he can return back up north until into the New Year.
Ehmer has spent time on loan at Yeovil, Preston and Stevenage over the course of the last two seasons and has extensive Football League experience under his belt with a combined tally of 71 appearances for all three clubs.
He signed a contract extension at Loftus Road in August 2012 having joined the club as a schoolboy at the age of 11. He has also represented South West Germany at Under-18 level.
Ehmer has not been granted permission to feature in the FA Cup competition for Carlisle United.
