Keeper signs up with United
Carlisle United have today completed the signing of keeper Greg Fleming on non-contract terms, for an initial month, ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
Fleming, 26, teamed up with the Cumbrians last week ahead of their double-header of friendlies north of the border and has been given an extended opportunity by manager Greg Abbott to earn a permanent contract at Brunton Park.
“It’s an opportunity for Greg to have a look at us and for us to have a look at him,” manager Greg Abbott confirmed. “He played well against Rangers and this is a real opportunity for him to show us what he can do.
“He obviously now provides cover for the weekend and we can take it from there.”
Fleming, 26, started his career with Livingston as a youth player and subsequently had spells with Gretna, Oldham, Galway and Chesterfield before parting company with Grimsby earlier this year.
