CST: New partnership launched

Clip 'n' Climb Maryport supports Community Sports Trust

CLL are delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with Carlisle United through which the clubs successful Community Sports Trust (formerly FITC) programme will be financially supported through the fantastic new Clip ‘n’ Climb facility at the Wave Centre in Maryport.

The one year deal with an option to extend will see the Community Sports Trust wearing the CLL and Clip ‘n’ Climb brands on their individual training kits as well as promoting the Clip ‘n’ Climb facility through their work in schools, clubs and holiday programmes as well as through the club.

Martin Horne at CLL commented: “We’re delighted to be able to support the Community Sports Trust and Carlisle United for the forthcoming season. Our brands have a great deal in common and we hope to take advantage of Community Sports Trust’s links with thousands of children to promote Clip ‘n’ Climb throughout the county and via the club.

"Every child coached via the programme will get an opportunity to bring along a friend free of charge to Clip ‘n Climb and we’ll also be putting together a unique deal for each of the schools the Community team work in. We’re hopeful that the financial support we’re giving the club will enable them to further progress during the coming season and CLL hopes to be able to work more closely with Carlisle United in a number of ways moving forward – hopefully this is just the start of things to come."

Dick Young, Commercial Director at Carlisle United said of the deal: “Carlisle United are delighted to be associated and in partnership with Carlisle Leisure. It is a great opportunity for both parties to increase their involvement in the community.

"The Community team have worked for many years coaching in schools throughout Cumbria and I am sure they will continue to do so for many years to come. We wish Carlisle Leisure every success with their Clip ’n’ Climb project at Maryport and we look forward to supporting them in any way we can.”
