Jordan Mustoe on the away win at Oldham
Defender Jordan Mustoe gave us his reaction to his first goal for the club in the away win at Oldham.
"For my goal, the keeper didn't really make a decision and I saw him coming towards me," he said.
"Then he changed his mind a few times and I knew I just had to get it over him," he said. "If he'd come all the way out I would have had to touch it past him, but when he hesitated he made my mind up for me. It was a brilliant ball from Liam [Noble] and it was fantastic to see it hit the back of the net."
"I think we looked comfortable in the first half and we played some good football on a difficult pitch," he added. "We've been talking about this game all week because we knew how important it was to get three points. I think you could tell that with the way we started the game.
"It was important to go into the break with a two goal lead because they were always going to throw everything at us and make changes in the second half. It was totally different after the break because they just lumped the ball up to their big lad."
"I gave the penalty away and that gave them a bit of hope in the last 15 minutes," he admitted. "As soon as I went to ground I knew that if I didn't get it right it was going to be a penalty. That's the chance you take with challenges like that.
"I thought it might have been outside the box, but he's given the penalty, and thankfully it didn't stop us from getting the three points."
"The win was very important for us today," he said. "I think the teams below us would have to win every game for us to go down and that probably means we're safe now."
"I think it took me longer than I expected to adapt to this level of football but I feel I've done that now," he said.
"I've got a few good performances under my belt and I'm really starting to enjoy it. I was struggling with my groin a bit today but I've managed to pull through it.
"I set myself very high standards so when I'm not playing well I get frustrated, but I think the last three games I've played have been good and I just want to push on from here."
