Potts makes the cut
Young utility man Brad Potts has been rewarded for his excellent form this season with a late call-up to Noel Blake's England U19 squad for the game against Finland at the New Bucks Head stadium, the home of AFC Telford, on Tuesday night.
Potts, 18, was handed a professional contract at the end of his YTS spell with the club last season. That was quickly converted to a three-year deal following an impressive start to this campaign and he has made 11 appearances for the Blues so far, including a man-of-the-match performance at Deepdale on Tuesday night.
"I only found out this morning and I am absolutely buzzing," he said. "I never expected anything like this and I'm nervous but really looking forward to it.
"I'm going to go with the squad to Brentford and then join up with the England set-up from there, so there won't be much time to think about it.
"It's going to be a completely different experience and I'm really looking forward to it. It's just fantastic to be considered for something like this and I think my family are going to feel really proud of the fact that I'm going to be part of it all.
"If I get selected and I get to wear the shirt then that will be unbelievable. I'll just go there to work hard and we'll have to see what happens."
