Youth product Jack Ellis signed his first professional deal with the club at the beginning of January 2022.

The Kendal-born defender was handed the under-18 captain’s armband for the 2021/22 season and flourished, earning a step up to the first team training environment.

Settling quickly as part of the first-team squad, he signed his two-year deal before the completion of his scholarship programme.

He started both of the remaining fixtures of the 2021/22 season, giving him his home and away league debuts.

Having established himself in the first team ranks, he was offered and agreed a new two-year deal in the summer of 2023.
