Joe Hugill joined United on loan in January 2025 from Manchester United for the remainder of the season.

The forward spent time with Newcastle United and Sunderland during his youth career before signing for the Red Devils at 16-years-old in 2020. 

He spent time in the under-18 and under-23 teams at Old Trafford, prior to loan spells at Altrincham, Burton Albion and Wigan Athletic. 

During his spell with the Latics in the first half of this season, he scored five goals in 18 appearances, which included playing at Brunton Park against the Blues in the FA Cup.
