Charlie made the move to Brunton Park in January 2025, on loan for the remainder of the campaign from Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

He started his career with Kilmarnock and went on to make four appearances for the Scottish side, before the Magpies came calling in the summer of 2022, beating a host of clubs to his signature.

During his spell on Tyneside, the towering defender featured in the UEFA Youth League and Vertu Trophy picking up vital experience.

This season, he's been a regular in their youth team and has played consistently in PL2, where he’s scored twice in eight games.

McArthur has also represented Scotland at both U17 and U19 level, playing a total of 16 times.
