Dummett joined United in January 2025 as a free agent, after leaving Wigan Athletic.

He began his career with Newcastle United, and spent time out on loan with St Mirren and Gateshead. He won the League Cup in his spell with the Scottish side.

Dummett is best known for his loyalty to Newcastle, where he played 212 times, scoring four goals. He scored a memorable 90th minute equaliser in a 3-3 draw with Manchester United back in 2016.

He has also been capped by Wales on 5 occasions, making his debut against Netherlands in June 2014.
