Jones joined United in the summer of 2024, after leaving Wigan Athletic.

He came through the youth ranks at Middlesbrough. He made his first set of appearances in senior football during loan spells with Hartlepool and Cambridge.

Jones then joined Kilmarnock in 2016, where he enjoyed an excellent three-year stay with the club. He turned out 146 times for Killie, scoring 12 goals and providing 24 assists.

His performances then earned him a move to Scottish Premiership giants Rangers. The midfielder spent two years there, going out on loan to Sunderland during that time. 

Jordan then joined Wigan Athletic on a permanent deal in 2021. He also spent time back in Scotland on loan deals to St Mirren and former club, Kilmarnock.

Jones appeared 53 times in total for the Latics, he scored three times and provided 11 assists.
