Goalkeeper Gabriel Breeze is another who signed a two-year professional deal whilst still just halfway through his scholarship programme.

The local lad was a teenager when he entered the academy system, but he progressed quickly to earn his place in the first team dressing room. 

He made four first team appearances during the 2023/24 season and was rewarded with a new contract, which will keep him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2027.
