Wyke returned for his second spell at Carlisle in July 2024, having been a fan favourite in his first stint with the club.

United's newly-named team captain came through the youth ranks with Middlesbrough and enjoyed loan spells with Kettering, Hartlepool and Wimbledon following the signing of a three-year professional deal at the Riverside in 2011. 

He spent the first four months of the 2014/15 season on loan at Hartlepool where he scored four goals in 14 appearances before he made the move to Brunton Park. 

The forward scored 39 goals in his 89 appearances with the Blues before making the move to Bradford. From there, he moved to Sunderland, where he netted 31 goals in 54 games in his best season for the club in 2020/21.

He then had spells with Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United and joins the Blues on the back of nine goals in 34 appearances for both sides last season.
