Smith joined the Blues in June 2024.

He came through the ranks at Celtic then joined East Fife when he was still a teenager. 

He made 28 competitive appearances for East Fife during the 2021/22 season before making the move to Premier League side Newcastle United in the summer of 2022 after impressing on trial. 

He featured for the Magpies in the EFL Trophy and Premier League 2 during his time at St James' Park and has also featured for Scotland U21's.
