Harper joined United in June 2024 from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

He joined Inverness at the age of 10 and has progressed through the ranks at the Caledonian Stadium.

The left-sided defender made over 150 appearances for his boyhood club, including a Scottish Cup final appearance, where his Inverness side were defeated 3-1 at Hampden Park by Celtic.
