After United's relegation from Sky Bet League Two was confirmed, we spoke to Terell Thomas.
Speaking to CUTV, he said:"Disappointment, frustration, feel like I let down the fans, people around the club, the cleaners, the chefs, you know what I'm saying.
"All those people that are behind the scenes do their little bits, and then obviously the fans as well.
"It's shared around the whole club, first of all we've let ourselves down, but I don't think we can't dwell on it too long, obviously yeah it's a tough one, tough one to take, tough one to talk about and say feelings - we just apologies to the fans and yeah, I don't really have a lot of words to say."
When asked if this afternoon's contest summed up our whole campaign, Terell said: "It was an itty bitty game, we had chances here and there, so yeah, maybe so you can say that, but I think over the last six weeks a lot of effort's been put in around the whole place and today was a bit lacklustre, today and the game before, we missed that energy that we kept, that we brought to the last four or five games before that, and yeah, we didn't get the result, regardless of what happened elsewhere, the result we wanted we didn't get.
When asked what the gaffer's message was in the changing room following the game, Thomas stated: "Since he's come in everyone's given their all, he's thankful for that, just well done on your efforts and stuff like that, but obviously we just fell short, it was always going to be an uphill battle, but yeah, there wasn't much, really a lot of words said.
"Consistency in everything, I don't want to go too deep, but yeah, we spoke, that's the main thing I can say, consistency in terms of on the pitch we didn't put enough good performances together or good results together in a string, like for example we went three games with three wins, we ain't done that, well the club ain't done that since when, I don't know, even before I was here, so yeah.
"I don't want to say too much in terms of personal thoughts, but yeah, the main thing is that consistency."
Finally, on United's supporters, Terell said: "It's your club, stick behind it, and I still believe in the club's vision, the people that are behind making big decisions, I still believe in the vision.
"I still believe in the long-term of the club, so for me, yeah, it's a minor setback, but look at some football stories, sometimes it helps in the longer run,
"We've got people who want to win and we've got people upstairs who want a winning club and I feel that they'll do whatever they need to get it, so I still believe in the club and I believe, like I see the fans do as well - I love the effort!
"They're probably some of the best fans that I've played in front of, home and away, because any away day is far, so kudos to everyone who travels, comes to the home games."
