Carlisle United Ladies are on the road for a third consecutive matchday this Sunday, as they travel to Lancashire to face Colne Ladies FC.
United come into Sunday’s fixture off the back of a break last weekend, with the league’s Lancashire-based sides competing in the Lancashire FA Women’s Challenge Cup.
The Blues’ opponents this weekend, Colne Ladies FC, faced Blackburn Eagles JFC Ladies in that competition last Sunday, falling to a 2-0 defeat.
Carlisle’s break leaves them rejuvenated and raring to go, and they will be hopeful of coming away from Sunday’s fixture with a positive result.
Colne find themselves placed 8th in the league, a point, and a place above United.
They have picked their six points up with wins against Stanwix Ladies and Penwortham Ladies, respectively.
The Lancashire-based side have been involved in several high-scoring affairs so far this season and have amassed a goal difference of -19 (9 for, 28 against).
United will be hoping to add to their points tally so far and pick up all three points in Lancashire on Sunday.
