Carlisle United Ladies travel across the city to face Stanwix Ladies at Gilford Park on Sunday.
United come into Sunday’s game off the back of a positive result last weekend at home against Penwortham Town, with Sammi Norman’s goal earning the Cumbrians a point.
Stanwix come into Sunday’s tie off the back of a double-header against top of the league Bolton Wanderers Girls, with Stanwix losing both games.
Stanwix have accumulated ten points so far this season, these have come in the form of wins against GT7 Academy Ladies, Wigan Athletic Ladies and Girls and Blackpool Girls and Ladies respectively, and a point against Accrington Stanley Women.
Stanwix currently lie 7th in the Lancashire Women’s County League Premier Division, a point and two places above United.
Carlisle know a win over their city rivals will propel them above their opposition and potentially as high as 6th.
United will be confident of making Sunday’s result a positive one.
